Metablock Technologies ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our Chrome Extension, Metablock AI Gmail Assistant (the "Extension"), accesses, processes, and protects your information.

1. Information We Access and Process

To provide smart AI email responses, the Extension accesses the following data from your Gmail interface only when you interact with the extension features:

  • Email Content: Sender name, sender email address, email subject line, and the body text of the email you are viewing or replying to.
  • User-Provided Configuration: Your custom API Keys (OpenAI and/or Groq), Agent Name, Company Name, and Company Context.

2. How Your Data is Used

We use the accessed information solely to generate relevant email replies:

  • The email content is combined with your custom instructions and settings to construct a prompt.
  • This prompt is sent to AI model providers (OpenAI or Groq) to generate a response.
No Personal Data Harvesting

We do not collect, harvest, or aggregate your personal data for advertising or any other purpose.

3. Data Storage and Security

We prioritize the security of your data. We implement the following standards to keep your information safe:

  • Local Storage: All configuration settings (including API keys, agent names, and company context) are stored strictly locally on your device using the chrome.storage.local API. They are never sent to or stored on our servers.
  • Data Transmission: The email content and API keys are transmitted securely via HTTPS directly to either OpenAI (https://api.openai.com) or Groq (https://api.groq.com) based on the API Key you configure.
  • No Server-Side Logging: We do not host any backend database or servers to store your emails or generated text.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

The Extension utilizes third-party AI service providers to generate responses. By using this Extension, you acknowledge that your data is sent to these providers:

5. Your Choices and Data Deletion

You can modify or completely delete your API keys, company context, and configurations at any time directly through the Extension's settings popup. Uninstalling the Extension will automatically delete all stored local data.

6. Children's Privacy

Our services are not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
